Favorite theatre experiecnces 2022
Here is a list of some of my favorite theatre experiences in San Diego in 2022! This is by no means a complete list of everything that was excellent in this past year, but now we get to turn towards 2023 and all of the fantastic theatre that is sure to come our way.
AS YOU LIKE IT
The talented cast of AS YOU LIKE IT, now playing at La Jolla Playhouse through December 11th proves how false it is when other places say that casting in a representative way is too difficult to do. With lively performances and songs, along with gorgeous costumes, and scenery, there is much to love in this romantic comedy.
FANDANGO FOR BUTTERFLIES (AND COYOTES)
FANDANGO FOR BUTTERFLIES (AND COYOTES) inspired by real-life stories brings empathy, hope, and heartache to the La Jolla Playhouse stage through September 25th.

The Frontera Project
The last time I spoke with THE FRONTERA PROJECT was during the pandemic, and they were just about to launch a tour of theatres and universities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Now this interactive, bilingual theater piece which is a collaboration between Mexican company Tijuana Hace Teatro and American company New Feet Productions will have its West Coast premiere on April 23 and 24 as part of La Jolla Playhouse WOW Festival at the Arts District in Liberty Station.
